Annual Reunion of Hispanic Women brings together culture
and friendship
What
do 112 Latin women from Broward, Dade and Palm Beach counties have in common? Each of them holds the title as
"Hispanic Woman of Distinction" they earned at the charity luncheon
held each October at
the Signature Grand in Davie. These talented Latinas formed a group called, DOS CULTURAS,
where
they continue to develop a life-long celebration of culture and tradition with one another.
Just recently, 90 of
the past winners and 2011 honorees came together at the Villagio Restaurant at Sawgrass Mills at a dinner buffet
and reunion sharing stories and business successes with one another.
Not to mention the great shopping
discounts they were offered at Sawgrass Mills!!
Carol Henderson, Business Development Manager at Sawgrass
introduced the guests which included Lorie Chevy, Market President and Executive Business Development of Bank of America,
the presenting sponsor. Bank of America in partnership with Latina Style National Magazine present
the annual luncheon that benefits the Light of the World Clinic, a free volunteer medical facilty
for
the indigent, and underserved communities. More than 30 sponsors participate and a sellout is expected again at 1000
people.
The highlight of the evening was the introduction of the 2011 Hispanic Women of Distinction who will be
honored on August 12th.
